01The journey

From first intuition to presentable manuscript.

Extypis supports essay work from the initial idea to a clean export: structure, cite, write, verify, output.

Step 01

Capture the first intuitions

A thesis, a citation, a connection, a title. You capture the material before everything is fully framed.

02Real friction

Essay blockers are rarely “inspiration” blockers.

They come from argumentative rigor, idea tracking, consistency and fatigue. Extypis carries that load with you.

“I lose my ideas and citations in scattered notes.”

Key ideas, striking citations, connections and concepts end up scattered across notebooks, text files and memory.

01

The Extypis answer

Idea, citation and source sheets linked to the text via @mentions, with tags and filters to find the right argument at the right moment. And at worst, your quick notes — anchored to the text, accessible anywhere in one click — catch whatever doesn't have its place yet: a reflex so nothing slips through.

“My argumentative outline turns false the moment I move a chapter.”

When a part shifts, transitions, internal references and the through-line stop matching.

02

The Extypis answer

Outline, chapters and sections stay linked at all times: moving a chapter automatically updates the numbering, transitions and internal references. No side outline to maintain by hand.

“Generic AI doesn't understand my reasoning.”

A broad tool sends back smooth, decontextualized prose that needs almost as much repair as help.

03

The Extypis answer

Extypis AI has constant, hands-off access to your outline, your written chapters and your sources. No complex prompts to write: consistency with your reasoning is guaranteed on every rewrite, transition or suggestion. The tool cannot give you an off-topic answer because it already knows your thesis.

“My logical connectors are weak or repetitive.”

As the essay grows, “but”, “therefore”, “indeed” become automatic and impoverish the reasoning.

04

The Extypis answer

Connector analysis surfaces repetitions, weaknesses and shaky transitions before the final review.

“My citations go everywhere.”

Without an integrated citation system, formatting each reference by hand becomes a time sink and a source of errors.

05

The Extypis answer

APA, MLA and Chicago citations inserted in one click, bibliography generated automatically and linked to the text.

“My final export never looks like an essay.”

After months of work, losing time on LaTeX or DOCX layout feels like falling back to draft level.

06

The Extypis answer

Title page, front matter, formatted bibliography and PDF export via LaTeX, DOCX, EPUB or Markdown: finishing is built in.

03What Extypis actually carries

Three value blocks instead of one blurry pile of features.

Extypis works as three complementary supports: holding the argumentative architecture, supporting the reasoning, then exporting a clean manuscript.

Argumentative architecture

The essay stays manageable while it keeps changing.

Chapters, sheets and tags stay linked and automatically follow the movement of arguments: no side mind map to update every time you reorganize.

Chapters and sheets

A clear tree with statuses and drag-and-drop reordering.

Storyboard

Story overview with summaries, labels, quick preview and scene reordering.

Tags and filters

Organize projects and find them faster with tags and filters.

Snapshots (versions)

Create versions, compare them and restore a previous state.

Contextual AI

An AI that knows your essay, not just your paragraph.

On every generation, Extypis AI reads your outline, your written chapters and your sources. Where a generic AI starts from scratch on every prompt, ours keeps argumentative consistency from introduction to conclusion.

AI writing assistant

Conversational AI assistant in the sidebar, color-coded quotes highlighted in the text and one-click rewriting from any passage.

AI continuity check

AI automatically detects contradictions, forgotten arcs and inconsistencies in your story, and saves the report.

AI presentation & summary

Tagline, short presentation and full summary automatically generated, saved and faithful to your story.

AI-written front/back matter

Preface, afterword, acknowledgements, author bio, back cover blurb: AI drafts them all from your project context.

Sources & quality

The essay exits clean, ready for publishing or self-publishing.

Bibliographic citations, logical connector analysis and professional exports: finishing saves time precisely when time is scarce.

Bibliographic citations

Academic references with one-click style switching.

Connector analysis

Assess the balance of logical connectors and text flow.

Readability score

Measure how easy or demanding your text is to read.

Front matter and back matter

Preface, afterword, dedication, epigraph, table of contents (at the start or the end?): publishing has conventions no author really learns. Extypis guides you through every editorial fixture — title page, cover auto-cropped to book format, ISBN, copyright, opening and closing sections — and lets you reorder or hide any of them at export.

PDF export (LaTeX)

Generate polished PDFs with true typographic quality.

Multi-format export

Export to PDF, DOCX, EPUB, HTML, Markdown or full archive.

0505 — FAQ

The questions essayists usually ask before stepping in.

Will Extypis AI write my essay for me?

No. It suggests, checks, rewrites, unblocks and helps present. You keep final approval on the passages that matter and the voice that makes the essay.

Does Extypis AI really know my reasoning?

Yes. On every generation, it relies on your outline, your written chapters and your sources. Where a generic AI starts from scratch on every prompt, Extypis keeps full memory of the project so that suggestions stay coherent from introduction to conclusion.

Can I manage my bibliographic citations?

Yes. APA, MLA and Chicago citations inserted in one click, bibliography generated automatically, linked to the text and formatted cleanly at export.

How do I find an idea I noted three months ago?

Tags, filters and typed sheets (idea, citation, source, concept) let you find matter by theme, author or chapter, without digging through scattered notes.

Is the AI the same for free and subscribed users?

No, and that goes for both text and image. On editorial-sensitive tasks (long rewrites, argumentative consistency check, pitch, AI assistant), a subscription automatically switches the AI cascade to Claude Sonnet 4.6, the strongest model on French prose. Free users stay on Mistral, Llama, Cerebras and Gemini: very fast and excellent for drafting, more modest on finishing and long-form consistency. For image generation (covers), free users get Flux schnell (fast, standard quality) while subscribers access Flux 1.1 Pro and DALL-E 3 (editorial quality, careful typography).

Are my texts used to train an AI?

No. Your texts are never sent to the models for training. None of the AI providers used by Extypis (Anthropic, OpenAI, Mistral, Groq, Gemini) has access to your content outside of the punctual API call required for the requested generation. The APIs are configured without training opt-in, and no data is retained on Extypis' side beyond what is strictly required to run the product.

Can I export a clean manuscript without paying?

Yes. All export formats are available from the start. Paid plans mainly extend AI usage, quotas and advanced analysis.

Is this only for essays?

No, but Extypis is particularly strong for the essay: argumentative outline, idea sheets, citations, contextual AI and logical connector analysis.

Your essay deserves better than a Word doc and three scattered notebooks.

Start with structure and ideas, add AI where it genuinely helps, and keep the whole project inside a space that holds when the argument grows long.
