Scene outline
An ordered breakdown of scenes or sequences showing how a story progresses.
A scene outline breaks a story into ordered scenes or sequences. Common in screenwriting, it also serves novelists. Each entry may identify the setting, participants and change produced by the scene.
Separate entries make it easier to move material and inspect the overall progression. Unlike a continuous synopsis, the outline preserves the individual units of the story. Formats vary across writers and productions.

Sequence 12: at the depot, Nora recognizes a crate and decides to follow the truck.
